This page has been designed for those that for any reason cannot use a car during their own stay in Sardinia, although we highly recommend you to rent a car to explore the South Coast in total freedom and ease. Renting a car will help you saving time and travel with comfort. In about 20 minutes, depending on traffic, you can reach the property by car from the airport. I highly recommend you to rent a car and use the GPS on your phone; this will help you enormously when driving and finding places to visit.

Arriving to the property from the airport using public transportation

In case you are planning to reach one of our properties with public transports there is a good transportation service that connects your house rental with the airport. Bear in mind there are two main public transportations companies in southern Sardinia, CTM and ARST, and you can get familiar with their services through the following websites: https://www.ctmcagliari.it/en/ and https://www.arst.sardegna.it/ . If you are using these companies, you are also highly recommended to download their app from your Android or Apple phones. In case you are planning to visit the northern coast of the island you can also use the train, and you can book the tickets and plan your journeys through the following website: Trenita

When reaching your rental property bear in mind you will need to change bus and the total journey from the airport to the property will take approximately one hour and a half with public transports, depending on traffic. Bus drivers most of the times do not speak a good English, therefore, it is important to know where you are going to. Studying the itinerary with Google maps will certainly help you to familiarize with the journey you are about to take. The first step to get to the house from the airport is to take a train to Cagliari, you should find the signs of it inside the airport that will lead you to a shuttle service that will bring you to Piazza Matteotti. This first journey should take n longer than 10 minutes. Once arrived to this first destination to this big Square you will find many buses around you. Now you have to look for a bus called PF, it is an orange bus run by CTM. You can potentially buy the bus ticket on board or alternatively you can buy the ticket online with the above-mentioned app, through your phone. You may also need to take another bus named 1Q in case you are going towards Via Leonardo da Vinci. The exact location of each property can be found on the Property Overview page where you can find the right pin to the location you are going to. Google Maps is a great tool you can use to keep track of the best available routes.
